Santa

Tick off another "must do" for Anneke's first year.

Special thanks goes to Mary who pointed out not only that the Macy's line for Santa is very short during the weekdays, but that the crying baby with Santa pictures are often more interesting than the posed ones that we so often try for.

We were able to have two photo sessions in order to get this picture, and of all of the pics where our little girl was bawling her head off, we chose this one for the wonderful look of displeasure she gave the camera. Zoom in to see it better.

You have to send this in to one of those magazine contests for Santa photos. She has Dave's grumpy face...it's the best! Anneke makes me so happy, I just love her!
Soooo funny.

THAT IS THE BEST!!!

Peanut this year was smiling. Next year, hopefully, Baby P will be a grump. We have a great one last year of Peanut. Congratuation. That is a treasure.

Santa must be the most patient man in the world. Nonscientific polls show 73% of Santa pictures with children < 3 years old involve unhappiness of some sort. Anneke has the perfect pout!

That's a perfect pout - Merry christmas Anneke!

Macy's! I had not considered going there. I love the ornamental chair Santa's sitting in. But Anneke's face is by far the greatest thing about this picture. Classic.

You have to know this made my day!
(Is it weird that unhappy Santa pictures are my favorite thing about Christmas?)

It's especially great because Anneke is always happy, so this is a rare treat.

Jolly Santa, pretty Christmas dress and Anneke wanting no part of it. That will be one for the scrapbook!
(good tip on Santa too!)

I had to come back again and laugh at this one - it is such a great picture!

This just may have to become the wall paper on my desk top at work - replacing the pic of Dollar guarding Juleitte when she was about 18 months or so. I laughed out loud when I first saw this and yes I sure believe Santa has the patients of Jobe in dealing with nascent drama queens not completely appreciating his fartherly countenance.

After I laughed, I was reminded of a phrase my cousin often uses: "That is POETRY." I don't know why, but it is, isn't it?
I can't wait to get back to pdx to see if my youngest can top this pout.
