On Memorial Day, in front of witnesses, Anneke Grace took her first steps. After everyone left our small memorial day gathering, we grabbed the nearest video camera and recreated the event for posterity. Unfortunately it happened to be the cheapest video camera in the house. Even so, it captures a proud moment.
As some have pointed out, these first steps will surely lead to a whole new level of required baby proofing.
In case you were wondering, that was a paper clip.

that was GREAT. I love watching "first steps" videos. It cracks me up because the kid is always trying to grab someone's hand and the parents and like WALK WALK WALK.

Wow! What a great series of first steps. Go Anneke! And apparently a little climbing monkey too. Amazed by her skills and ability to NOT fall as she was climbing around the desk. So agile!
